Dr. Maryam Darvishian is an epidemiologist and postdoctoral research fellow in the clinical prevention services at the BC Centre for Disease Control (BCCDC) and School of Population and Public Health, University of British Columbia. Dr. Darvishian obtained her Master of Science degree (MSc) in Clinical and Psychosocial Epidemiology and Doctorate (PhD) in Epidemiology/Pharmaco-Epidemiology at University Medical Center Groningen (UMCG), Netherlands. At BCCDC her research focuses on hepatitis C treatments effectiveness and disease outcomes. Her research interest includes epidemiology of infectious diseases, real-world treatment effectiveness and bias-adjustment techniques in observational study designs.
